Heartfelt thanks to Dr Marc and JoAnne Gabel who raised an amazing £860 for the project through a fundraising folk concert in Toronto on July 9th. Despite the world cup parties, they managed to feed and entertain an impressive turnout of 45 in their condo, which was festooned with pictures of the project. Why Us? Well JoAnne (a Shiatsu therapist) and Marc say they would prefer to leave Malaria to Bill Gates, and work with something where the results for individuals are more direct and meaningful.
